a report from Paul Sinclair
On Wednesday the 24th of May I arranged to visit the cliff tops of Bempton with my friends Ian and Peter
We arrived at 8.30pm and walked down to one of the viewing platforms; it was starting to get a little colder and the last of the bird spotters were slowly making their way to the carpark.
The sky was clear but uneventful except for the appearance of satellites.
At around 11.30 pm a large white sphere of light appeared low in the sky to the left of the RAF base.
It was moving very slowly and I managed to film it for just under 3 minutes before it disappeared. We were also treated to the sudden appearance of a meteor flashing through the sky.
