Hi Paul.
I recently discovered your work after looking into the Hunmanby incident, and thought I would share with you an encounter I had over in East Hull on 20/09/2025 at approximately 2.50am.
I live in the Drypool area about 1.5 miles away from the Humber Estuary and on the above date and time I was awoken by the noise of a very low flying helicopter passing over my house. I glanced out of my window and saw the Sikorsky S-92A Search and Rescue helicopter heading towards the estuary. I settled back down to go back to sleep expecting the sound to gradually fade away, however I could tell by the sound that it had come to a hover relatively close to the mouth of the estuary.
I got back out of bed and looked out of my bedroom window to indeed see the S-92a in a hover over the sea, and to my amazement in front of it (but left of it to perspective) at a slightly lower altitude was a solid black triangle with 3 white lights on each apex. It was around the same size as the S-92a maybe slightly bigger and was sat perfectly still. The helicopter was rocking trying to steady itself as it was a particularly windy night, and the co-pilot was trying to focus the searchlight directly onto the black triangle.
When they eventually succeeded to focus the searchlight on the object it disappeared completely, it didn't zoom off it just vanished altogether.
The helicopter stayed stationary a little while - I'm assuming the pilots were trying to make sense of it as well. They then circled around the area of the sea for about 30 seconds and then flew away. I got back into bed replaying the whole incident in my mind, the entire thing must have lasted no longer than 10 seconds but I was absolutely certain of what I saw and I know those pilots were too.
In the morning the first thing I did was message my Dad who is a long-time believer in the phenomena and an avid flight scanner so I knew he would listen to me and would also be able to look up the flight data of the S-92a.
If they are of interest I can attach our messages to one another the morning after the incident and also the copies of the flight data he sent me. Some of my messages to him were voice notes as it was easier for me to explain it but I can get you copies of these to if you would like them.
Keep up the great work Paul.
Kind regards,
Jordan.
Paul: What an incredible report. Thanks so much for sending it in.
