Truth Proof Report 280 ~ tall grimacing unworldly figure

Late September, 1985, Tuxford, Nottinghamshire

I’m a 60 year old and level headed guy , sharing this for the first time, person to person (I did put a brief description on the “paranormal data base - East Midlands section“ some years ago) it is still on there. This was experienced along with my wife and her friend being present.

Late Sept 1985 Tuxford Nottinghamshire.

We had been to Tuxford miners' welfare, run by a friend's sister, who invited over to our scooter club, about 20 of us, with the intention of camping over.

We decided in the end, not to stay and to ride back and not to camp.

This was about 1.00 - 1.30 a.m. and would be a Sunday morning.

I had our friend, Amanda, as my pillion passenger on my Vespa and my wife, Sue, rode behind on her Vespa.

Just as in a stereotypical horror scene, we found ourselves with a mist coming off the fields and spilling over on to the road, but just a few feet high - very strange but I have experienced this several times.

Not too long after we left Tuxford village and driving through the countryside back towards Nottingham, we passed a gate entry on to a field with a pull-in area in front of the gate, and we all saw, what I can only describe as an entity.

I will describe what we saw:-

A tall figure, like a scarecrow, grinning or grimacing, with a grey face, large dark hollow eye sockets. like an alien. The .. clothing was like an old gamekeeper with dark tatty suit / large check fabric trousers, tucked into the socks or boots.

The mist seemed to lap up it and we were all terrified..

We stopped a few miles away as we reached the street lighting near to Arnold, Nottinghamshire and we all struggled to comprehend what we had actually seen.

It was a supernatural entity in my opinion - I’m 100 per cent certain.

There is the story of the “Rufford poachers“ back in the 1800s (I think they were hanged) or could it have been a bogle / tattie bogle as they are called in Scotland?

I’m not sure!

My wife won’t really talk very much about it to me even now - it truly freaked us all out. Amanda was very upset at the time. It has however now opened up some thoughts on other things that’s happened to me over the years without really joining up the dots until recently, (after watching your Youtube channel) and it feels I can share this with you. I also have an experience to share about the pavilion venue at Whitby which is strange.

To sum up maybe it’s like a fruit machine lining up the 3 cherries: when our mental state (love , fear or grief etc) and if the environment and time is right, we will experience stuff almost tuning in to it. I hope to talk again .. Vkind regards Chris

Paul: first of all thank you for sharing your experience. It must have been terrifying and from what I have just read it is still frightening when you have to think about it.
