Bright light and after effect

Hi Paul.

My name is Adrian.....

I watch your videos and find them interesting.

It brought to mind an experience I had myself around 10 years ago.

At the time I lived at and owned Model Farm just outside a small village called Bewholme. It's roughly between Hornsea and Skipsea on the East Coast.

I had a fishing lake on my land which my farmhouse looked onto.

On this particular night I got up to go to the toilet at around 1pm. I always looked out over the lake as sometimes it looked picturesque with the moon shining on it. It was then I noticed a bright light over my fields. It was way brighter and larger than any star and wasn't as high as that. It was a bit baffling.

The following morning I woke up around daybreak. There was a lovely red sky.

It was the I noticed a strange formation in the clouds. Exactly in the spot where the bright light was the night before. There was a kind of hole in the clouds as if something had punched through them. Looking a bit like an upturned wizard's hat. Nothing since. Very strange. I took a picture.

Paul: Hi Adrian, thank you for sharing the sighting and the picture.

It is a strange image and I suppose what makes it even more interesting is the fact that you saw something in the early hours. I wonder how long the shape stayed in the sky.
