I live in Sleaford, Lincolnshire - in the same house that I had the following experience....

Unfortunately I can't remember the exact time of year but I've got a feeling it was around Autumn time or something: I should have written details down but for some reason I didn't (I've never understood why?). I think this experience happened on a Sunday night as I work away from home all week so with me having to get up early for work it had to be a Sunday night. Well truthfully speaking it would have been Monday morning and I'm sure the time was around 01.30 in the morning.

I've had quite a few paranormal experiences in my life involving ghosts and UFOs - but don't get me wrong - these things don't happen to me all the time. These things have happened over many years since being a kid.

But this entity that I saw and touched stands out as the weirdest and it's the one I think about time and again because it made me realise that there is, without a doubt, other realms of existence that we just don't know about. It's the one event where a physical connection (as in me touching this thing) meant that in no way could this have been my imagination or a dream. I was very much awake, one other detail that sticks in my mind is the fact that when I woke up and saw this entity, I was lying on my back which is very unusual for me because I never sleep on my back, I'm just not comfortable like that. Also there was no sound from this thing, it was actually floating directly above me: it was jet black, blacker than the night so it stood out and I could see a solid outline. It was definitely cloaked and it was big: I'd say if it was standing it could have been around 6 foot high (although this is a guess).

I've read about sleep paralysis but I wasn't paralysed in any way, I could move, the reason I rolled out of bed was because I couldn't sit up because this thing was right above me. One thing that really gets me is how it seemed powerless to stop me getting out of bed and getting to the light switch.

I could feel it following after me, it's hard to explain, it was sort of pushing up against me as I ran for the light (not a great distance as this is a box room). If this was some kind of demon or extraterrestrial why didn't it have the ability to stop me from turning on the light, because the way it felt, it was as if it was desperately trying to beat me to the light switch and failed, because when I turned on the light, it was completely gone. Any normal person could have easily have stopped me: that has always baffled me.

Anyway if I remember anything else I'll forward it to you; my best guess is that this happened sometime in 2005.
